People are trying to look younger and to deter the normal aging process by many means. As a matter of fact, botox injections have grown 20 percent in recent years and more than $1 billion per year is being spent on anti-aging products on a worldwide basis.
In recent years there is a new movement towards natural strategies to deal with the normal aging process. According to proponents of this new trend, drastic surgical procedures, botox injections and complex non-natural therapies are not needed. Things are simpler according to this new natural approach.
Natural strategy 1: EAT RIGHT.
You need to eat the right way. Stay away from bad fats, trans fats, saturated fats and processed foods. Eat more of the good foods (vegetables and foods rich in healthy fats (e.g., omega-3 fatty acids), such as walnuts, flaxseed and cold-water fish (wild salmon, sardines, mackerel, etc.). Skin health will improve within days of using a healthy anti-inflammatory diet.
Also, eat colorful foods. The more colors (red, yellow, and greens) your food is the richer it is antioxidants, known to fight dangerous free radicals (believed to be the cause of aging and skin damage). Blueberries, strawberries, spinach, carrots and broccoli are all recommended foods
Natural strategy 2: KEEP SUNLIGHT EXPOSURE TO A MINIMUM
It has been established that sunlight is dangerous for your skin. Not only it damages its appearance but it also increases the chance of getting nasty diseases such as skin cancer and the deadly melanoma. SO for a healthier skin stay away from sunlight as much as possible. That doesn’t mean you have to hide in a dark room, MO please, do not misunderstand me.
If you are outdoors a lot, apply sunscreen to your skin. Sunscreens that contain zinc oxide, as well as the antioxidant vitamins C and E and selenium are recommended. The presence of antioxidants in your sunscreen will increase skin protection. Select odorless sunscreen products with a sun protection factor (SPF) of 15 or higher that offer protection against both UVA and UVB rays. If you are spending the day outdoors under the sun, reapply every hour or so.
Natural strategy 3: AVOID EXTERNAL POLLUTANTS
You need to stay away from dangerous chemical pollutants that are all around us, at least as much as possible. If you live in city stay inside as much as possible on smog-alert days. Avoid pesticides, herbicides, and dangerous cleaning products. Choose milder, fragrance-free, chemical-free, natural cleansers for your skin and avoid detergents and harsh soaps. Lastly, don’t smoke or overindulge in alcohol. These are all like a pest for skin health
If you follow these natural strategies and a lifestyle that priorizes wellness, you will experience a better overall health and a clear, firm, and healthier skin
